Exercise on Bear River Recreation Trail

Description

Now connected with Copper Creek Trail out of Preston, the trail is 6.6 miles in length.  This crushed limestone path is great for biking, hiking, and cross country skiing!  The scenic trail is located along the Maquoketa River in Jackson County and crosses both Deep Creek and Copper Creek. About half of the trail is located on the abandoned Chicago-Milwaukee Railroad line.
