Explore Iowa’s oldest State Park During the summer, very thick vegetation makes it difficult to see into the woods, but there’s quite a bit of quality limestone to explore here. Opportunities for all climbing types: some good rocks to boulder, bluffs to top-rope, and difficult cracks for trad climbing. During spring through fall there are Climb Club events put on by Climb On (climbondbq.org).
Climbers must register to climb at the SOUTH ENTRANCE park office.
